A Second time the crazed men searched the pastor’s house in search for us. But they did not find us. I was so angry at these men, why should I forgive them? I hated these men. I wanted them to rot in hell. I wanted to kill them, to shoot them. Just because I was born a Tutsi, they wanted to kill us. The Hutu men were aggressively searching the house, they were throwing chairs and turning over beds and at one point, the men were inches from my head. They were on the other side of the wall. I was paralyzed with fear.I prayed the rosary, but I still could not forgive the evil men. Eventually I realized everyone on Earth is God’s child. I finally forgave the men and for the first time, I slept in serenity.
