(Matthew 6:14-15) 14 “For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. 15 But if you don’t forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.

Salvation at Last

Over these five weeks of being in the bathroom, I have found salvation. I pray to God all day and when I sleep, I dream of the Virgin Mary and God. I have been reborn into God’s hands. I know that if I make it out here alive, I will have God on my side. One day the pastor brought two of his kids into the bathroom to see us. Both children were happy that their father had helped so many people. The bathroom is extra cramped now because we have two more women joining us. They were staying with the pastor’s daughter, but the Hutus were getting suspicious. But I was glad to see that there are at least two more Tutsis alive. The girls told us about how there are dead bodies everywhere you go. I was scared that some of those bodies belonged to my father, mother and brothers. That night I had a dream of Jesus getting ready to take me in his arms. He was telling me to not be afraid. He is with me.
