It had gotten worse, the Interahamwe had been killing more and more Tutsis. At one point almost 10,000 Tutsis were in my front yard asking for help from my father. The Interahamwe have attacked the people in our yard twice. My father had enough of this madness and went mad himself. He started charging the killers by himself until my mom stopped him. My father told me to go with Augustine, my friend, to the pastors house to find shelter. He said that we would be safe there. I did not want to leave my family. But as I was walking down the dirt road on the way to the pastors house my father told me he would come and get me himself when all this craziness blows off.
